Message from the Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science at Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa. As the founding department of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, we are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly practice across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Through a rigorous curriculum aligned with national standards, laboratory-based learning, and industrial training, we prepare graduates with strong theoretical foundations and practical competence in computing, algorithms, systems, and emerging technologies. I invite you to explore our B.Sc., PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. pathways, research, and opportunities, and to join us in advancing computer science education in Jigawa State and beyond.

About the department

The Department of Computer Science was established in 2015 as the founding department of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. It has grown to serve over 620 students with programmes from BSc through PhD.
